1. About VimBet
VimBet ("VimBet", "we", "us") is operated by VimBet Ltd, a company registered in Ghana. VimBet runs football prediction pools: players predict the outcome of a set of football matches, and a prize pool of at least the guaranteed minimum published before the pool opens is shared among the winning combinations according to a prize structure published at the same time. VimBet is not a bookmaker and does not bet against players; the amount a winner receives depends on the tier reached and the number of winning combinations in that tier.
2. Agreement
By creating an account, depositing funds or submitting a ticket you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and the rules of each pool as shown on the pool page at the time you submit a ticket. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
3. Eligibility
- You must be 18 years or older. We may ask for proof of age and identity at any time and will withhold payouts until it is provided.
- You must be resident in a country where taking part in a football pool is lawful, and you are responsible for confirming this. The service is designed for players in Ghana.
- You may hold one account. Accounts must be opened in your own name and may not be shared, sold or transferred.
- Employees, contractors and directors of VimBet Ltd, and members of their households, may not play.
4. Your account
- You sign in with an email address and password, or a phone number and a 6-digit PIN. Keep these secret; anything done through your account is treated as done by you. Tell us immediately at [email protected] if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.
- The details you give us must be accurate and kept up to date, particularly the name and mobile money number used for withdrawals.
- We may verify your identity, age, address or source of funds before allowing deposits, play or withdrawals, and may suspend the account while checks are in progress.
5. Wallet, deposits & withdrawals
- Your VimBet wallet holds Ghana cedi (GH¢). It is not a bank account, earns no interest and may only be used to buy tickets and receive prizes.
- Deposits are made by mobile money through our payment provider, Paystack, and are credited once the payment is confirmed. Minimum and maximum deposit amounts are shown on the Wallet page. Deposits must come from a payment method in your own name.
- Withdrawals are paid to a Ghanaian mobile money account in your name. The requested amount leaves your balance when the request is made; if we cannot complete the payout (for example the number or name does not match) the amount is returned to your wallet. We aim to process withdrawals within 1–2 business days. Minimum and maximum deposit and withdrawal amounts are published on our deposits & withdrawals page. We may ask you to verify your identity before a first withdrawal or for larger amounts.
- Deposited funds that have not been staked may be withdrawn at any time, subject to verification. We may set reasonable limits on withdrawal frequency to prevent abuse.
- If an amount is credited to your wallet in error we may reverse it, and you agree to repay any amount you withdrew that was not owed to you.
- Wallets that are inactive for 12 months may be closed after notice and any balance returned to the mobile money number on file.
6. Pools & tickets
- Each pool lists its matches, the price per line (combination), the closing time, the guaranteed minimum prize pool and the prize structure. These rules are frozen for that pool when it opens.
- For each match you pick Home, Draw or Away. Picking two outcomes on a match (a double) or all three (a triple) multiplies your lines: 1 double and 1 triple = 6 lines. A ticket's price is lines × price per line, calculated by our servers; limits on doubles, triples and total lines per ticket are shown in the ticket builder.
- A ticket is final once submitted and its price has been taken from your wallet. Tickets cannot be changed, cancelled or refunded, except as set out in section 8. No tickets are accepted after the closing time; if a ticket reaches us after the close for any reason it is void and the stake is returned.
- Each line on a ticket is scored on its own. A line scores one point for every match where the actual result is one of the outcomes you picked for that match.
7. Prize pool & settlement
- Each pool publishes a guaranteed minimum prize pool (for example GH¢10,000) before it opens. The amount actually shared among winners is the greater of that published minimum and a set share of the stakes received for that pool. The prize pool can therefore rise above the published minimum as more tickets are bought, and it can never fall below it, however few tickets are sold. The share of stakes that applies to a pool is fixed when that pool opens and is not reduced afterwards. Stakes received are VimBet's; the difference between stakes and the prize pool funds prizes, operating costs and VimBet's margin.
- The prize pool is split between tiers by the number of correct matches (for example 40% to lines with every match correct, 20% each to the next three tiers). Where a pool's prize pool rises above its published minimum, the percentage split does not change, so every tier rises in the same proportion. Within a tier the amount is divided equally between all winning lines, rounded down to the nearest pesewa. A ticket with several winning lines is paid for each of them.
- For example, a pool with a GH¢10,000 guaranteed minimum and a 40% top tier shares at least GH¢4,000 equally between every line with all matches correct. Were that pool to settle with a prize pool of GH¢12,000, the top tier would be GH¢4,800. If no line wins a tier, that tier's amount is not paid out and is reported as unclaimed on the settlement report; it is not added to other tiers.
- The final prize pool, the amount allocated to each tier and the number of winning lines in each tier are published on the settlement report for every pool, so the figures above can be checked after the event.
- Prizes are credited to your wallet automatically when the pool is settled, normally within 24 hours of the last result being confirmed. The settlement report for every pool is published on the Results page.
- We may correct a settlement that was based on an incorrect result or a system error. Where a correction reduces a prize already paid, we may recover it from your wallet or future winnings.
8. Results, postponements & cancellations
- Results are based on the score at the end of normal time (90 minutes plus stoppage time), excluding extra time and penalty shoot-outs, as published by the competition organiser. Later changes by disciplinary bodies are ignored.
- A match is void if it is: (a) postponed and not played to a finish by midnight Ghana time (GMT) on its scheduled day; (b) abandoned or interrupted and not resumed and finished within that same time; (c) cancelled; or (d) struck off by us because we reasonably suspect it has been fixed or manipulated. A match called off before the pool closes is void in the same way.
- A void match counts as correct for every line on every ticket, whatever outcome was picked for it. If you covered a void match with a double or triple, every one of those lines counts it as correct.
- Each pool allows only a limited number of void matches: 1 in a pool of up to 6 matches, 2 in a 7- or 8-match pool, 3 in a 9- to 11-match pool, 4 in a 12- or 13-match pool, and 6 in a pool of 14 or more matches.
- If more matches are void than the pool allows, the pool is cancelled and is not settled.
- The prize split does not change when a match is void. Because a void match counts for everyone, more lines may reach each tier, and each tier's prize is shared equally among all of them.
- If a pool is cancelled, every ticket is refunded in full to the wallet it was paid from.
- Obvious errors in a pool's fixtures, prices or prize structure may be corrected before the pool closes; tickets already bought will be honoured or refunded at our discretion.
9. Fair play
You must not:
- open more than one account, or play on behalf of someone under 18 or someone excluded from playing;
- use stolen payment methods, launder money or deposit funds that are not your own;
- use bots, scripts or automated tools to submit tickets, or interfere with the service, its security or other players;
- take part in any match-fixing, or play with inside knowledge of a fixed or manipulated match.
If we reasonably believe any of this has happened we may void tickets, withhold prizes, close the account and report the matter to the relevant authorities.
10. Responsible play
Only stake what you can afford to lose. Pool play is entertainment, not a way to make money. If you would like to take a break, set a deposit limit or close your account, email [email protected] and we will apply it within one business day. Self-exclusion requests are irreversible for the period requested (minimum 6 months).
11. Fees & taxes
VimBet does not charge deposit fees; your mobile money provider or bank may. Withdrawal fees, if any, are shown before you confirm a request. You are responsible for any tax due on your winnings under Ghanaian law; where the law requires VimBet to withhold tax on winnings we will do so and show the deduction on your wallet statement.
12. Liability
- We provide the service with reasonable care but cannot guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not liable for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control, including network, mobile money or payment provider outages.
- Except for liability that cannot be excluded by law, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the balance of your wallet plus any prize we owe you at the time of the claim.
- Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer in Ghana.
13. Intellectual property
The VimBet name, wordmark and the design of the service belong to VimBet Ltd. Match and team names are used for identification only and belong to their owners.
14. Suspension & closure
You may close your account at any time by emailing support; any withdrawable balance will be paid to your mobile money number after verification. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, is subject to a legal request, or has been inactive for more than 24 months, and will return any balance you are entitled to.
15. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced on the site at least 7 days before they take effect, and the date at the top of this page will change. Pool-specific rules never change after a pool opens.
16. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. If you have a complaint, contact support first; we aim to respond within 5 business days. Unresolved disputes may be referred to the courts of Ghana.
